RSS Feed

I researched quite a bit on this topic and I was able to find a few blog posts (yay). One of them is of a fellow GNML-er, http://samijaz23.blogspot.com/2013/11/education-back-bone-of-socially-happy.html#comment-form  and the other one is http://stephanieparma.blogspot.com/2012/12/essay-8-effects-of-lack-of-education.html. These blogs are added to my RSS as well. Both of them focused on the same issues i.e the importance of education and the effect of lack of education which are similar to my topic. The first blog was a general overview of why education is important and that everyone specially girls should be provided with sufficient education which is the backbone of the society. He writes that without education the society can never be happy. Where as the other blogger in contrast writes about how poverty leads to lack of education and lack of education then leads to increasing crimes in a society, throwing the society into chaos. The blogger also gives an example of this (the above mentioned) by referring to her country Philippines and the increase of crimes in it.
Concluding, lack of education can be lethal but it is not an issue that we can not resolve. If we all join hand and work hard we can finish illiteracy and make the society and the world a better place to live in

'Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.'
My motivation, my objective is based on this quote. Everyone has the right to learn and what i think is everyone SHOULD learn because the gift of knowledge is the only thing that makes us superior to other animals, without it we are the same as them.
We were talking about social issues that exist in our countries in GNML and the issue that came to my mind was 'Lack of awareness about the importance of Education' in the certain areas of my city, the people in the outskirts oft the city and rural area are not very well educated and so they do not know about the importance of education and it's impact on life, for that reason they do not send their kids to get education in schools. The neighborhood I live in is a really backward rural area so people do not send their children to schools rather make them go to work which they think is a good source of income, neglecting education which makes me really sad.

Now how can I do my  part in it? well if I start small and go talk to the people in the neighborhood that do not send their children to school and motivate them in doing so rather than sending their children to work on meager income. Try to make them understand that if you plant the seed in the form of education your children today and go through a though time, this in the future will definitely give you a fruit which is happiness and wealth well at least stable condition. I could use the social media to help run my campaign by appealing for donations for the underprivileged people so they could send their children to school.
